Students who participate in the photography course develop a competitive creative edge for both current and future industry markets using photography as a vehicle for both visual communication and artistic expression.

Students will engage in a process involving visual inquiry, design development, studio practice and digital manipulation through to print management, exhibition and constructive peer and self-evaluation.

Over the duration of the course, students are given opportunities to venture beyond the school environment to practise their photography skills in the wider community. They generate a portfolio which can be a valuable resource and assist their entry to industry placement or tertiary education.

Past and present photography students have expressed a holistic sense of enjoyment and satisfaction.
