Geraldton Senior College has a vibrant music program that offers students a wide range of opportunities to develop their music skills. Students are encouraged to work collaboratively with the wider community in creating, rehearsing and performing.

Music students choose between studying classical or contemporary music. Students studying classical music receive instrumental lessons, participate in class music and are involved in the school band.

Geraldton Combined Schools Senior Band performs at several school and community events throughout the year and also travels to Perth once a year to perform at the Aboda Music Festival.

Students who pursue contemporary music participate in class music and have the opportunity to receive guitar lessons and take part in a rock band. Students in the contemporary program regularly perform in front of peers, family and the wider community.

Instrumental teachers and classroom staff are committed to providing all students with an impassioned and creative music education. Our contemporary music centre provides students with  facilities to create, analyse, rehearse and perform music.
