Home / Teaching & Learning

The teaching and support staff at Geraldton Senior College are passionate about the learning and development of all students. We are committed to utilising the latest teaching methods with the latest information. National curriculum is applied through real-life, relevant experiences and all students have access to school resources such as notebook computers and tablets to fulfil this initiative.

Our staff goes the ‘extra mile’ by:

  • holding free tutoring sessions
  • co-ordinating useful projects such as maths students calculating the amount of shelf space required for the new library, and building and construction students erecting gazebos and paving to beautify the school
  • involving the community by co-ordinating student volunteer days and celebrating key events such as NAIDOC week and Harmony Day
  • planning excursions locally, within the state, interstate and overseas to allow the students to put their learning into practise
  • leading local events and competitions so that the students have opportunity to showcase their work
